I am in my tenth year with Old Colony Planning Council and have served as Council Secretary, President, and am now Council Treasurer. The Council and our staff work diligently to ensure we are providing relevant and impactful services to the communities we serve. I am very proud of the work and projects our Director and staff have completed and continue to do on behalf of our communities—from helping to bring much needed transportation, road, and bridge projects to fruition, planning for affordable housing so that our adult children and their families can afford to live in the Town where they were raised, assisting our communities to protect our water and natural resources, providing much needed services for our seniors, add so much more.
I began my public service as a member of the Plympton School Committee and then Selectman for 15 years. As Selectman, I served on numerous Town committees, represented Plympton on numerous Regional Committees, and worked closely with our State Senators and Representatives always advocating for the needs of the residents of my small Town.
I found a balanced approach to addressing residents’ wants and needs with thoughtful and planned growth, all the while protecting natural resources and maintaining our rural charm, essential in my role as a Plympton Selectman. When my Town service ended in 2024, I was thrilled with the opportunity to serve as the Councils’ Representative At-large where I can champion the communities we serve and the people who call them home.
