The planning and outreach strategy used to develop plans and policies has three tiers:
Invitees to Listening Sessions include a diverse set of community stakeholders from municipal departments, local businesses, non-government entities, and local interest groups and those groups from abutting communities are also invited to participate.
WHY YOU SHOULD PARTICIPATE
The Public Outreach Strategy was designed to involve the public in the planning process. The purpose of public outreach and stakeholder involvement is to:
- Generate public interest in planning.
- Accommodate special populations identified in the Town.
- Solicit public input.
- Engage local stakeholders.
- Create opportunities for the public and local stakeholders to be actively involved in the planning process.

Kingston Housing Production Plan FY 2027-2032 Public Review & Comment
OCPC was hired by the Town of Kingston to update their HPP which was last done in 2019. An HPP is a strategic tool to help communities proactively understand and manage their housing needs, set goals and guidelines for future development. The updated plan will set the direction for housing planning and policy in our community for the next five years.
The comment period will be open from April 6, 2026 – May 8, 2026.

The Road Home: A Regional Blueprint for Housing (RHS) Public Review & Comment
Brockton, Stoughton, and Avon have partnered with OCPC to create a Regional Housing Strategy that will address the housing needs of each community individually as well as a cohesive region. Residents live, work, and shop within these communities. Across the region, there is a lack of housing supply and options to address the needs of current and future residents.
The comment period will be open from April 15, 2026 – May 15, 2026.
