Old Colony Planning Council’s (OCPC) Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is accepting applications for our Long-Term Care (LTC) – Ombudsman Program Director. The LTC Ombudsman Program is mandated by the federal government, through the Older Americans Act, to advocate for the wellbeing and rights of residents of long-term care facilities such as nursing homes and rest homes.
The OCPC Ombudsman Program Director will fulfill the regulations and policies of the State Ombudsman program through visitation to nursing and rest homes in the Old Colony service area to meet residents and resolve issues in a confidential and impartial manner. Anticipated starting compensation: $63,000 – $68,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Job Description: OCPC Planning Internship
Department: Community Planning Economic Development
The Planning Intern is an entry-level, part-time, temporary position, responsible for performing a variety of zoning, planning, and economic development tasks. The Intern would be expected to work independently on some projects and closely with the CPED department on other projects concurrently under the direction of the Director of Community Planning & Economic Development. Principal responsibilities of the Intern include supporting the strategies of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) and performing moderately technical planning and zoning duties.

Old Colony Planning Council (OCPC) is looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about our organization by assisting our various departments. You will be working closely with our team to conduct research, capture data, create marketing materials and attend meetings.
You will be involved in current and upcoming projects. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while interacting with OCPC staff, its stakeholders, and communities.
Job Description:OCPC GIS Internship
Department: GIS
OCPC is seeking a GIS Intern to assist in the mapping and data management tasks of the GIS Department. This is a paid internship.
Primary duties include data creation and development using ESRI’s ArcGIS software; preparing and uploading data and maps for web portal ; assists in staff training on GIS Software; and attends and participates in meetings with planning staff and regional organizations
