Director, Economic Resiliency and Housing Equity
Don Sullivan joined Old Colony Planning Council in 2022 as the Director of Economic Resiliency and Housing Equity Department. Prior to coming to OCPC, Don was the Director of Community & Economic Development at Southeastern Regional Planning & Economic Development District.
Mr. Sullivan offers 37 years of professional planning and community and economic development experience. This includes downtown revitalization, commercial and industrial development, industrial and office park development, brownfields redevelopment, corridor redevelopment, feasibility studies infrastructure development (roadways, w&s, drainage, lighting, fiber, etc.), development incentives, granting writing, planning, project development, and management and administration at the regional and municipal levels.
Don’s primary responsibility is preparing and implementing Federal Economic Development Administration (EDA) projects region-wide and the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the region’s 17 communities. He also serves as the regional point of contact between federal, state and local officials on economic development planning and implementation.
Don is a graduate of Salem State College and holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Economics. He currently resides in Falmouth with his wife Anny, mother-law and his dog Buckley aka “Buck.”
