GUOQIANG LI
Principal Transportation Planner
Guoqiang has over a combined 15 years of experience as a Transportation Planner from the City of Olathe (Kansas) and SRPEDD (Massachusetts). He became a team member of OCPC in May of 2021 as a Principal Transportation Planner.
Guoqiang has a demonstrated history of work in transportation planning project management, public presentation, travel demand modeling development and calibration, transportation planning studies, intersection and corridor evaluation, congestion management studies, safety analysis, reviewing of transportation reports and data collection and management.
Guoqiang has been a certified Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) since 2009 with good standing and recently has become Road Safety Professional 1 (RSP1) Certified in 2022. He earned a B.S. in Economic Geography and Urban and Rural Planning at Zhongshan University (China) and an M.S. in Urban Planning (with a concentration in Travel Demand Modeling, Traffic Engineering and GIS) at the University of Kansas, Lawrence Campus. He attended part-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) School and Civil Engineering Bachelor Degree program at the University of Kansas. Guoqiang has earned the “Road Scholar” designation through the UMass Transportation Center Baystate Roads Program.
