Joanne Zygmunt, AICP, PMP

Senior Planner, Comprehensive Planning and Sustainability

Joanne Zygmunt is a Senior Planner at OCPC, where she leads regional and municipal initiatives focused on comprehensive planning, infrastructure, environmental resilience, and age-friendly community development. Her work spans grant writing and management, public and stakeholder engagement, consensus building, and the development of actionable, community-informed plans.

She has collaborated with communities across the region, including Brockton, Duxbury, Kingston, and Plymouth, on various projects such as Open Space and Recreation Plans, Housing Production Plans, and regional economic and infrastructure strategies.

Before joining OCPC, Joanne led a consulting practice specializing in strategic planning, social marketing, and program evaluation. She also held leadership roles at an environmental nonprofit in the U.K., where she focused on policy advocacy and program development.

Joanne is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She serves on Easton’s Planning and Zoning Board and previously held appointments on the Central Plymouth County Water District Commission and the Brockton Conservation Commission. She holds a Master’s in Development and Planning from University College London and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Boston University.
