Within Comprehensive Planning it is our goal to create a welcoming sense of place with diverse housing options, connectivity, vibrant spaces, amenities and jobs that support a robust economy. This work is accomplished through the following plans and strategies: zoning and policy, housing production plans, age friendly communities, placemaking, master planning, public participation, grant writing and management. Housing Planning

Housing planning works to meet the housing needs of a changing region. A region that provides diverse and affordable housing choices. Our work includes housing production plans, assistance complying with MBTA communities (3A), the development of various housing bylaws, supporting smart growth efforts, advocacy around housing-related legislation and policy, and other initiatives.
